A controversial double execution in Oklahoma was scrubbed after the first inmate to receive an experimental three-drug cocktail writhed and grimaced on the gurney, struggled to lift his head and died of a heart attack more than 40 minutes later, officials and witnesses said. Homeowner Guilty of Murder

Byron Smith, the Minnesota man who fatally shot two teens after they broke into his home, was found guilty on all four counts of murder. The jury deliberated for three hours before finding the 65-year-old guilty of two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree murder in the shooting deaths of cousins Haile Kifer, 18, and Nick Brady, 17, reports the station. Gang Leader Convicted of Murdering Teen

A Bronx gang leader was found guilty Tuesday of the cold-blooded killing of a 16-year-old boy, authorities said. Prosecutors said Trinitarios thug Carlos (White Boy) Urena was the triggerman in the 2005 murder of Ka'Shawn Phillips. The teen, who was shot in the head in Yonkers, just over the Bronx border, was also stabbed 20 times. Read more...

Ohio to Increase Death Dosage

Ohio has concluded that Dennis McGuire did not suffer any pain during his execution last January, the state's Department of Rehabilitation & Correction said. McGuire was executed using a new cocktail of drugs. The state ran out of pentobarbital, the traditional drug used in executions, so it used a combination of midazolam and hydromorphone. Read more...

Chicago Girl, 14, Guns Down Rival

A 14-year-old Chicago girl has been charged as a juvenile in the shooting death of another 14-year-old girl who was killed Monday afternoon on her way home from school. According to the Cook County State's Attorney's office, the suspect -- whose name was not released because of her age -- was due in juvenile court on Tuesday. White Supremacist Gets Probation

A North Dakota judge has sentenced a white supremacist to four years of supervised probation but no additional prison time for terrorizing the small community of Leith, where he tried to set up an all-white enclave. Sixty-two-year-old Craig Cobb has been jailed since November when he was arrested on felony charges that he scared residents while patrolling Leith with a gun. Teens Beat 87-Year-Old Woman

A 14-year-old boy suspected of brutally beating an 87-year-old woman at a senior housing facility has been arrested following a days-long search in California, authorities said. Officials said two teenage suspects attacked the elderly victim in an apartment at the Camelot Independent Living complex in the Riverside County city of Hemet. Authorities said the suspects tied her up and poured bleach all over her. A 15-year-old was taken into custody April 17, the day of the crime. Read more...

Girl, 16, Fatally Stabbed on Prom Day

Just hours before her junior prom, a 16-year-old girl was stabbed to death inside a Connecticut high school. Police said that a 16-year-old boy has been taken into custody. A boy stabbed Maren Sanchez because she wouldn't go to Friday night's prom with him, according to a student at the high school. Police have not confirmed that information. Read more...

Teen Poisons Grandmother's Greens

Authorities say a North Carolina teenager tried to kill her grandmother by dumping insecticide and termite killer into a pot of collard greens. Cumberland County District Attorney Billy West said that 17-year-old Tyt'ana Lisa-Nicole Johnson of Fayetteville was charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder. Teen Mom Charged in Newborn's Death

An 18-year-old Chicago woman placed her newborn son inside a plastic bag and left the child outside, where he was later found dead, Chicago police said. Ana Rosa Mora, 18, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. The dead child, who police say was one-day-old, was discovered along a gangway on North Hamlin last weekend. Police say Mora admitted she placed the baby in the plastic bag and left him there. Read more...

Woman Falsified 1,300 Mammograms

Rachael Rapraeger, pleaded guilty earlier this month to 10 misdemeanor charges of reckless conduct and one felony charge of computer forgery. Deputies Accused of Planting Guns

Two former Los Angeles sheriff's deputies allegedly planted guns in a medical marijuana dispensary in order to justify an arrest, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. Julio Cesar Martinez, 39, and Anthony Manuel Paez, 32, were arrested on felony conspiracy to obstruct justice and perjury charges on April 18 and later freed on $50,000 bail. Read more...

Man Charged With Infecting Woman With HIV

A 31-year-old Chicago man was ordered held in lieu of $750,000 bail after being charged with failing to reveal to his girlfriend that he had HIV who later tested positive for the virus, prosecutors said. A South Carolina man is again behind bars after he slapped his former girlfriend as she picked him up from court-ordered anger management classes stemming from a prior domestic violence conviction, police said. 4th Graders Caught Dealing Pot

School officials in northern Colorado are asking parents to be careful with their newly legal recreational marijuana, after fourth-graders were caught dealing the drug on an elementary school campus. John Gates, director of safety for Weld County School District 6, said Wednesday that the students involved, three 10-year-old boys and a 10-year-old girl at Greeley's Monfort Elementary School, faced tough discipline but not suspension or expulsion. Florida Executes Double Killer

Florida has executed a man convicted of murdering two relatives to prevent one of them from testifying against him in a burglary trial. Robert Hendrix was pronounced dead at 6:21 p.m. at Florida State Prison in Starke, shortly after the lethal injection procedure began. Prosecutors say that in August 1990, Hendrix shot, hit and stabbed his cousin, Elmer Scott, in his Lake County trailer home. They say he then cut the throat of Scott's wife, Michelle, and shot her. Nursing Home Patients Beaten to Death

A resident of a Houston nursing home is accused of beating two of his roommates to death with the armrest of his wheelchair. Police spokesman Victor Senties said a 56-year-old resident will be charged with capital murder in the deaths of two other men, ages 77 and 51. Man Pleads Guilty to Dismembering Woman

A Georgia man has pleaded guilty to murdering his neighbor and former Mercer University classmate. As part of a plea deal brokered over the weekend, 28-year-old Stephen McDaniel revealed in a written statement how he killed Lauren Giddings, as well as what he did with her body. Authorities found the 27-year-old's dismembered torso wrapped in plastic in a dumpster outside her Macon, Ga., apartment across the street from the university where they both had graduated. A man fatally shot his estranged wife in the parking lot of a parochial school in northwestern Indiana and later killed himself at his home after a police officer confronted him, police said. Officers responding to a report of shots fired outside St. Mary's Catholic School found Nina Castro, 42, lying in the parking lot with a gunshot wound, Griffith Police Chief Greg Mance said. Suicidal Exec Charged With Murder

A former Fortune 500 executive has been indicted on murder charges in a New Hampshire crash in December that killed a Vermont man and his pregnant wife. Robert Dellinger, 53, of Sunapee, told investigators he was trying to kill himself when he steered his pickup across an Interstate 89 median in Lebanon. The truck went airborne, shearing off the top of an SUV and killing the occupants of the vehicle: 29-year-old Jason Timmons and 24-year-old Amanda Murphy, who was eight-months pregnant. Michigan's Glasgow Facing OWI

When Michigan confirmed that starting offensive lineman Graham Glasgow had been suspended last month for "violating team standards," it was subsequently reported that the suspension was connected to an arrest on a driving-related offense. As it turns out, the "driving-related offense" was significantly more serious than speeding or blowing through a stop sign. Troubles for TCU wide receiver Brandon Carter have now extended off the football field after his arrest Tuesday by Fort Worth police on suspicion of possession of marijuana. Fort Worth officers were on routine patrol in downtown Fort Worth about 5:12 p.m. when they ran the license plate of a 2010 Lexus and found the car had a "warrant hit," the report states. Missouri Executes 1993 Killer

Missouri has executed an inmate convicted of murder in the 1993 deaths of a farming couple. Missouri Department of Corrections spokesman Mike O'Connell says William Rousan was declared dead at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday. Prosecutors say Rousan, his teenage son Brent Rousan and William's brother Robert Rousan murdered Charlie and Grace Lewis on Sept. 21, 1993 as part of a plot to steal two of the couple's cows. Oklahoma Court Stays 2 Executions

A sharply divided Oklahoma Supreme Court stayed the execution of two death row inmates who have challenged the secrecy surrounding the source of the state's lethal injection drugs. In a 5-4 decision, the state's highest court issued the stays just one day before death row inmate Clayton Lockett was scheduled to be executed for the 1999 shooting death of 19-year-old Stephanie Nieman. An undercover police officer and one other person were shot at a shopping center in Garfield, N.J. The officer was shot during a law enforcement undercover operation in the shopping center parking lot, outside a Wal-Mart. State police said one suspect has been arrested. Police Fatally Shoot 19-Year-Old

A young woman suspected of auto theft was shot and killed by an Albuquerque police officer following a foot chase. This is the first fatal shooting since the Department of Justice concluded on April 10 that the Albuquerque Police Department (APD) displayed a culture of aggression and a pattern of excessive force. Albuquerque police have come under intense scrutiny in recent months for their use of deadly force. Cop Charged With Fatally Shooting Wife

A former New York City Police officer is charged with fatally shooting his wife in the couple's Queens home over the weekend while their children were there. Police said that 43-year-old Kevin Canty is charged with second-degree murder and criminal use of a firearm. U.S. marshals say an ex-convict wanted in connection with a 1981 Pennsylvania homicide is under arrest after he was found to be living under an alias and serving as a church deacon in Texas. Body Identified as Missing Boy

The body of a small boy apparently cast off the side of a highway has been confirmed as a missing 5-year-old, authorities said. The body found off Interstate 190 has been positively identified as Jeremiah Oliver, Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. said. No charges were immediately announced related to Jeremiah's death. He was last seen by relatives in September but wasn't reported missing until December. Read more...

An 8-month-old baby sat between his young parents in St. Paul, at the center of a dispute over how much his father could see him. Timothy Scott Hendricks, 19, got out of jail earlier in the month after he was charged with threatening his teenage nephew with a gun; he'd told police he was addicted to drugs. Utah Woman Allegedly Hid Pregancies

Megan Huntsman, the Utah woman accused of killing six infants she birthed between 1996 and 2006, is suspected of hiding the pregnancies not just of her dead children, but also those of two of her three living daughters, Pleasant Grove Police Capt. Girl Killed in Home by Drunk Driver

A 16-year-old Palmdale girl died after a suspected DUI driver slammed into the victim's home, authorities said. Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to the location and entered the apartment, where they found a 16-year-old girl who had been fatally injured, according to authorities. Mom Drives Her 3 Teens Into River

Three New Jersey teens frantically used their cellphones to call for help from a sinking van after their troubled mother drove them into a river, their father said. Ultimately, a passer-by helped all four escape from the cold Delaware River in Florence Township, N.J., after one sibling kicked out a window. Police said Joann Smith, of Florence, tried to drown the three children, ages 13 to 15. She was charged with attempted murder and child endangerment and was being held on $600,000 bail. Read more...

A South Carolina man who was named a person of interest in his stepfather's disappearance is in custody and charged with murder. Travelle Lamar Burros, 41, of Union, S.C., was taken into custody without incident, according to the station. Authorities had been searching for him since his stepfather, 61-year-old Raymond Davis, was pronounced missing on Tuesd Union Public Safety Officers told WSPA that a body found in a wooded area near the home on Wednesday afternoon was that of Davis. Reward Offered in Kidnapping Case

The FBI has offered a $25,000 reward to anyone who can provide information that helps lead to the arrest of two additional suspects in the abduction case of a Wake County, N.C. man. Federal officers are looking for Jakym "Jak" Camel Tibbs, 20, and Quantavious Thompson, who is either 18 or 19 years old. Authorities said that both men were charged with conspiracy to kidnap in the April 5 abduction of Frank Janssen. Janssen, 63, was kidnapped from his Wake Forest home and rescued April 9 in a southeast Atlanta apartment following an FBI raid, WRAL reports. James Manning was taken into custody after police say they received a call from an auto dealership in Redding reporting a vehicle was stolen. Rapper Andre Johnson Severs Own Penis

Andre Johnson, a rapper affiliated with the Wu Tang Clan, reportedly cut off his penis and jumped off a building in a suicide attempt, but survived. Johnson, who goes by "Christ Bearer" in the rap group Northstar, was found after severing his penis and jumping off the second floor of an apartment building in North Hollywood. Read more...

Murder Suspect, 79, Disappears

A warrant has been issued for a 79-year-old Arizona man who was on house arrest in the shooting death of his 73-year-old wife. The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office says Howard Rudolph, of Sun City, went missing after apparently removing his ankle monitoring bracelet. Rudolph did not appear for a court hearing Monday. He is charged with second-degree murder in the August 2013 death of Earlene Rudolph. Read more...

Three Arrested In Olive Branch Murder

Police searched for suspects through the night, and 17 hours after the shooting, they arrested 22-year-old Xavier Wolfe of Olive Branch, 19-year-old Marvellius Shipp of Olive Branch and 38-year-old Mickey Burns of Byhalia. Wolfe is being held for murder in the Desoto County Jail on a $1 million bond. Both Shipp and Burns are charged with accessory after the fact. Woman Kills Son's Boyfriend

A woman is accused of fatally shooting her son's boyfriend at an Alabama truck stop Monday evening. Tuscaloosa County deputies and Woodstock police responded to a report of a shooting at the Love's Truck Stop in McCalla. When deputies arrived, they found Jamie Johnson, 36, lying on the ground suffering form a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital for treatment but later died from his injuries. Read more...

Dina Lohan Loses License for DUI

Utah Mom Admits to Killing 6 Newborns

Authorities say a Utah woman accused of killing six babies that she gave birth to over 10 years told investigators that she either strangled or suffocated the children and then put them inside boxes in her garage. According to a probable cause statement released by police, Megan Huntsman said that between 1996 and 2006, she gave birth to at least seven babies at her home and that all but one of them were born alive. Man Guilty of Plot to Decapitate Judge

A con man already imprisoned in a collectible coin scam has been sentenced to life in prison for a failed plot to decapitate a New York judge and prosecutor. Another judge in Brooklyn imposed the sentence against Joseph Romano, 50. Before hearing his fate, Romano told the judge he was innocent. He says he was framed by federal agents to keep him from exposing misconduct in the coin fraud investigation. Read more...

Missing Oregon Teen Found Safe

Oregon State Police say a 42-year-old Lake County sheriff's deputy has turned himself in following an investigation into an alleged sexual relationship with a teenage girl who subsequently went missing. Authorities sent out statewide alerts on Sunday for 17-year-old girl Marriah Andrews. She was found Sunday afternoon after she contacted authorities. State police says that Kenneth Turkle turned himself in Sunday morning. Read more...

90-Year-Old Man Convicted of Murder

A 90-year-old funeral director who shot and killed a man during an argument has been found guilty of third-degree murder. William Welsh was convicted of twice shooting 58-year-old William Menni in the neck last July at a Homestead, Pa., construction site. The site in Allegheny County was located right next to Welsh's funeral home, and he and the victim had a longstanding feud. Officials said an argument over payment for demolition work Menni did for Welsh is what lead to the fatal incident. Read more...

McDonald's Heroin Dad Gets Jail

A man who overdosed on heroin with his girlfriend at a McDonald's play area near Cincinnati has been sentenced to six months in jail for child endangering. Thirty-seven-year-old Robert Palmer was sentenced by a Hamilton County municipal judge. He was convicted last month on two misdemeanor charges after a nonjury trial. Read more...

Maryland Decriminalizes Marijuana

Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley (D) signed a bill into law that decriminalizes the possession of small amounts of marijuana. A 39-year-old Utah woman has bee arrested after authorities discovered the bodies of seven infants in separate cardboard boxes in the garage of a home in Pleasant Grove. Stiletto Shoe Killer Gets Life

A woman was sentenced to life in prison for fatally stabbing her boyfriend with the stiletto heel of her shoe, striking him at least 25 times in the face and head. Ana Trujillo was convicted of murder by the same jury for killing 59-year-old Alf Stefan Andersson during an argument last June at his Houston condominium. Defense attorneys argued that Trujillo, 45, was defending herself from an attack by Andersson, who was a University of Houston professor and researcher. Read more...

California Serial Killers Arrested

Two registered sex offenders in California murdered at least four women, including an Oklahoma prostitute whose naked body was discovered in a trash-sorting facility, police say. Cops busted Steven Gordon, 45, and Franc Cano, 27, on Friday in Anaheim as investigators continued to search the country for other missing women. Woman Found Murdered in Wooden Chest

A man has been charged with murder after the body of an Indianapolis woman was found in a wooden chest near the apartment complex where he lives, close to the city. The station reported that James Wade Jr., 60, was in custody after the body of 24-year-old Jazmine Trammell was found on March 23 inside a wooden chest that had been placed next to a dumpster at the Maison Gardens apartment complex in Lawrence, Ind. Body Found in Burnt Pickup Truck

A man was killed when a pickup truck he drove onto a Hampton Bays beach erupted in flames — possibly during a freak suicide bid, law enforcement sources said. The unidentified man was found sitting behind the wheel of the truck when the Southhampton and Hampton Bays fire departments put out the roaring noontime fire near the beach access to Peconic Bay on North Road — more than 80 miles from Manhattan. Lightning's Malone Arrested on DUI

Lightning left wing Ryan Malone was arrested in Tampa and charged with driving under the influence and cocaine possession. Malone was released from Hillsborough County jail on $2,500 bond but did not travel with the team to Washington for today's regular-season finale with the Capitals. Driver Surrenders in Day Care Crash

Robert Corchado, the man police believe to be the driver in a deadly hit-and-run crash at an Orlando day care, has turned himself in to authorities at the Orange County Jail, according to the Facebook page of Florida's Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. Spokeswoman Wanda Diaz said in a statement that Corchado - who has been arrested eight times since 2000 - was driving a Dodge Durango that struck a Toyota Solaro convertible, which jumped a curb and smashed into the KinderCare building in the Orlando area. 13-Year-Old New Jersey Girl Missing

A 13-year-old girl has gone missing from her Bergen County, N.J., home since Tuesday morning. Iana Darlington has not been heard from since she spoke on the phone with her mother, who had left for work early, around 7 a.m. Tuesday morning, according to family members. Iana's mother got a call from the girl's school later that day, around 10 a.m., saying that she had not shown up for class. Read more...

Hate Crime Charged in Mob Attack

A 16-year-old is facing charges of assault and ethnic intimidation in connection with a mob attack on a motorist who accidentally struck a child on Detroit's east side. The teen is black and the driver, 54-year-old Steven Utash, of Clinton Township, is white. So far, five suspects have been taken into custody in the beating of Utash, who remains in a medically induced coma with bleeding in several parts of his brain. Read more...

Coach Arrested After Drug Deal

North Salinas High School's assistant baseball coach was arrested on campus after police received an anonymous tip that drug deals were happening in the baseball field parking lot. Salinas police said they watched Ronald Stevens as he walked from the baseball field over to a car that had just driven into the school's parking lot. Officers said Ronald Stevens bought cocaine from the driver, 56-year-old Alberto Manriquez, and walked back to the baseball field. Read more...

Cartel Member Cooperating With U.S.

A high-ranking member of the Sinaloa cartel in Mexico pleaded guilty to drug trafficking a year ago and has been cooperating with authorities, federal prosecutors in Chicago announced. Jesus Vicente Zambada Niebla pleaded guilty in April 2013 to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute multiple kilograms of cocaine and heroin between 2005 and 2008, according to a plea agreement. Tuscaloosa Police responded to the scene of a minor accident with no injuries in the 800 block of 31st street after it was reported one of the drivers was intoxicated. Texas Executes Mexican National

A man who escaped prison in his native Mexico while serving a murder sentence was executed in Texas for fatally beating a former Baylor University history professor and attacking his wife more than 16 years ago. Ramiro Hernandez-Llanas, 44, was lethally injected in the state's death chamber in Huntsville. He was in the U.S. illegally when he was arrested for the October 1997 slaying of 49-year-old Glen Lich. Missing Iowa Woman Found Dead

A Minnesota medical examiner has identified the body of a missing Iowa woman found in a rural area near Minneapolis over the weekend. The Hennepin County medical examiner's office identified the body as that of 29-year-old Carrie Elaine Olson of Davenport, Iowa. Olson was reported missing in Davenport over three months ago, according to the Quad-City Times. Her body was found in a vacant lot near Hastings, Minn., about 30 miles southeast of Minneapolis. Ex-Boyfriend Confesses to Killing

Police say the ex-boyfriend of a North Carolina teen missing for a month has been charged in her death. Authorities say 17-year-old Je'Michael Malloy of Autryville was charged with second-degree murder in the death of 15-year-old Danielle Locklear. Locklear was reported missing March 11. Hope Mills Police Chief Joel Acciardo said that Malloy admitted to choking the Hope Mills teen that night, stuffing a sock in her mouth, tying her body to cinder blocks and throwing it in the river. A Pennsylvania man has been charged with homicide after police said he used a portable generator to kill his mother with deadly carbon monoxide. Thirty-year-old Koustantinos Yiambilis allegedly turned on the generator in his mother's home in Bensalem, Pa., northeast of Philadelphia, "producing carbon monoxide, which is poisonous." A woman was convicted of murder for fatally stabbing her boyfriend with the 5 1/2-inch stiletto heel of her shoe. Two men have been arrested in connection with the strangulation of a 33-year-old man found dead inside his truck one year ago. Eusebio "Boo Boo" Rodriguez, 35, of Fort Worth, was arrested Wednesday and remained in jail with bail set at $50,000. Police arrested his cousin, Danny Roy Davila, 36, of Haltom City on Friday night. A Boston man who has spent more than 30 years in prison for a killing he says he didn't commit has an unusual ally in his quest to exonerate himself — convicted mobster James "Whitey" Bulger. Robert LaMonica was gunned down in Braintree in 1980. The now 62-year-old Fred Weichel was convicted the following year based largely on testimony from a teenager who said he saw the gunman jump into a waiting car and identified him as Weichel. Human remains found by a hunter in rural Arizona in 1988 have now been identified as Northern Michigan woman who moved to Phoenix with her ex-husband in 1985 and was reported missing a year later. An Ohio couple wanted in connection with the murder of a 45-year-old Ohio man remained in the Volusia County Jail, a day after they were arrested in Daytona Beach Shores. Mom Sentenced in Breastfeeding Death

A judge sentenced a South Carolina woman to 20 years in prison for killing her 6-week-old daughter with what prosecutors say was an overdose of morphine delivered through her breast milk. A prosecutor said Stephanie Greene, 39, was a nurse and knew the dangers of taking painkillers while pregnant and breast feeding, instead choosing to conceal her pregnancy from doctors so she could keep getting her prescriptions. L.A. Suicase Body Identified

The Los Angeles County Coroner has identified a dead body found in a suitcase in Glendale earlier this week as 21-year-old Victor Moreno. Moreno's body was discovered by county public works employees, in a large suitcase in the Verdugo Wash, a man-made water drainage ditch. Newlywed Husband Gunned Down

Police in Indianapolis are looking for the men who murdered a 24-year-old newlywed who was about to become a father. Nathan Trapuzzano -- an avid walker -- was taking his morning walk near his home between 5:45 and 6 a.m. when he was gunned down in cold blood, authorities said. 4 Teen Murder Suspects at Large

Police believe that four teenagers wanted in connection with a murder in Tennessee are in a wooded area off of a highway in South Carolina. According to authorities, the suspects should be considered armed and dangerous. Sheriff Lee Foster told the station that they are searching for three white males and one female - all in their teens. Creek-Tossing Dad Found Guilty

A New Jersey man who tossed his 2-year-old daughter into a creek while she was still strapped into her car seat has been convicted of murder. Jurors found Arthur Morgan III guilty of killing Tierra Morgan-Glover, whose body was pulled from a creek in a park near the Jersey shore in November 2011. Prosecutors say he killed Tierra to get back at her mother for breaking off their engagement. They say he weighed down her pink car seat with a tire jack. Read more...

Murder Suspect Kills Cellmate

A Phoenix man who reportedly told police he killed his 12-year-old half brother last month because he "just felt like killing" is now accused of fatally stabbing a cellmate, authorities said. Andrew Ward, 27, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in the killing of cellmate Douglas Walker, 33, in a Maricopa County jail in Phoenix, the Sheriff's Office said in a statement. Man Guilty of 13th DUI

A Tennessee man was found guilty Wednesday of his 13th DUI and will now have his license permanently revoked. Bob Ray Towry also faces up to 21 years in prison. After deliberating about 45 minutes, a jury found Towry guilty of driving under the influence on a fourth or subsequent offense, fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer and resisting an officer without violence. Prom Limo Driver Guilty of DUI

A 55-year-old Palos Hills man who police said was intoxicated when he drove nearly two dozen Oswego East High School students to their prom in Glen Ellyn has entered a guilty plea to a DUI charge, prosecutors said. Richard Madison, the former limousine driver, was sentenced to 60 days in the DuPage County Jail on one count of driving while under the influence of alcohol. Read more...

A federal judge stopped the scheduled execution of a serial killer in Texas, saying justice department officials must disclose information to the inmate's lawyers about the supplier of a new batch of drugs that would be used to kill him. The FBI is seeking the public's help in catching a man -- known only as John Doe 28 -- who was allegedly caught on video engaging in sexually explicit activities with a young boy. The video, which is just over two minutes long, was discovered online in November 2012 by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and contains a brief image of the alleged predator. Police Find Decomposing Twins

Police are investigating the discovery on Saturday of the decomposed bodies of 63-year-old twins in a Chattanooga home. Chattanooga police officers were called to the home this past weekend to check on the residents' well-being. Police found the skeletal remains of Andrew and Anthony Johnson "sitting" in recliners in their living room. How long the Johnsons had been dead is unknown, but officials believe the twins died in early 2011. Read more...

Former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky's child molestation conviction will not be reviewed by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Alabama RB Arrested on Marijuana Possession

Alabama sophomore running back Altee Tenpenny was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance in his home town North Little Rock, Ark., during spring break. According to the incident report, Tenpenny was pulled over March 24 because of an "inoperational license plate light." After the officer detected "the odor of burnt marijuana," Tenpenny, who was described by the arresting officer as "extremely nervous," told the officer he "smoked a blunt" earlier in the night but initially denied that there was any in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle ultimately unveiled a clear plastic bag filled with 2.1 grams of marijuana. Read more...

Man Charged With Murder of Mother, Sister

A search for a missing mother and daughter in North Las Vegas has uncovered a gruesome crime scene leading to a family member's arrest. Police believe Darius Davon Sorrells, 30, killed his mother and sister then butchered at least one of their bodies before living in their home for days as their remains decomposed. Natasha Sorrells, 34, and Janice Burden, 53, identified by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, had not been heard from since around Wednesday when an officer visited their home early Monday. Read more...

Man Beheaded for Voodoo Ritual

A man accused of beheading a Topeka resident with a guitar string three years ago and keeping his head as part of a voodoo ritual pleaded not guilty to premeditated first-degree murder. James Paul Harris kept the head of 49-year-old James Gerety to talk to it, police said, after Gerety was killed sometime in March or April of 2011. Sister: Craigslist Killing Suspect Lying

The sister of Miranda Barbour, a Pennsylvania woman charged along with her newlywed husband in the murder of a man they allegedly lured through Craigslist, says her sister is making up the claim that she killed more than 20 people. Miranda Barbour's sister, Ashley Dean, called Barbour a "master at lying" who is drawing on the escapades of television serial killer "Dexter." Barbour, 19, made the claim that she killed more than 20 to a reporter after being charged in the stabbing death of a man she allegedly lured through a Craigslist ad offering companionship for money. Woman Killed by Stray Bullet

A 39-year-old woman doing laundry inside her home was killed when she was struck by a bullet fired by men fighting outside her Southern California home, police said. Four men were apparently feuding on High Street in Santa Paula when two of them pulled out guns and began firing. The men didn't hit each other but one of the bullets entered the home of Norma Elizalde and struck her in the neck while she was doing laundry. Read more...

Officer Faces Trial in Gunpoint Rapes

A former Philadelphia police officer who was hailed as a hero and sat next to Michelle Obama at a presidential address will stand trial on charges he raped two prostitutes at gunpoint. The November trial comes after 28-year-old Richard DeCoatsworth withdrew a plea to reduced charges. A northeast Ohio woman suspected of fatally poisoning her husband by slipping antifreeze into his drink has been released on $250,000 bond. Teen Spends Cash After Bank Error

Authorities say a Georgia teen is under arrest and accused of spending about $25,000 that a bank accidentally deposited into his account. The Madison County Sheriff's Department says 18-year-old Steven Fields of Hull in northeastern Georgia turned himself in. He faces a charge of theft by taking. The department says a teller at a bank in Hull inadvertently deposited a check for approximately $31,000 into the wrong account. Read more...

Police say three people have died after a shooting at an apartment complex in Indianapolis. Officers arriving at the Marina Apartments on the city's far east side found one man with a gunshot wound lying outside a building and another two victims - a man and a woman - with gunshot wounds inside an apartment. Death Row Woman Gets New Trial

A death row inmate who prosecutors say recruited her son in a plot to kill her husband will get a new trial, the Mississippi Supreme Court ruled in a rare order for a prisoner awaiting execution. Michelle Byrom, now 57, was convicted of murder and sentenced to death in 2000 in Tishomingo County in the killing of her husband, Edward "Eddie" Byrom Sr., and for recruiting her son in the plot.
